  I typically don't take the time to post reviews, however, I must take a few minutes to say this... I was a new patient to this practice in August 2017. I went in for a "minor procedure" at the recommendation of a colleague. I won't go into detail about my experience with the doctor or the front office staff, other than saying I do not intend to return. I'm actually writing this review about the billing specialist there, Tammy. Like most of us, trying to understand insurance, deductibles, coinsurance, and everything else associated with it, is like reading a foreign language. Long story short, I had to pay the estimated amount for my procedure up front, which was not only much more than I expected, but it was inaccurate, as well. I requested to speak to someone in billing prior to paying, but was informed that I'd have to make an appointment with her and pay the quoted amount at that time if I wanted to be seen at that appointment (which I waited 3 months for). Needless to say, I made the payment, then scheduled the appointment with Tammy. When I did have the opportunity to meet with Tammy to discuss the issue, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is Tammy very knowledgeable and professional, she CARES. She has a characteristic that I had yet to see in that office. Tammy took the time to look up my information and call the insurance company, which is never a quick process. It turned out that I was actually correct. Tammy was very apologetic and did not allow me to leave until my issue was resolved. She took the time to listen to what I was saying, do the research, and fix the problem. Tammy, I can't thank you enough! Wake Forest Dermatology is extremely lucky to have you on their team!
